Strength Training

This class provides beginners with a solid grounding in kihon aza (basic techniques) and ukemi (the art of falling) as well as an introduction to Aiki weapons. Join us Mondays and Wednesdays to learn from local instructors with more than 20 years of experience teaching Aikido!

You don’t want to miss this quality martial arts training! Karate can aid in development of strength, stamina, reflexes, balance, coordination, and flexibility. Students must successfully complete the Beginner Karate class or have consent of the instructor to enroll in the Intermediate/Advanced class.

Exercises that strengthen muscles and replicate motor patterns in daily living are the focus of this class. Most movements can be worked on from a standing or seated position. Participants will need to bring their own hand weights. Purchase a Fitness Flexi Pass to participate!

This class builds upon skills learned previously in our Beginner Karate class. Students must successfully complete the Beginner Karate class or have the consent of the instructor to enroll in this program.

This program is taught by Mark Hurling, a second degree Black Belt instructor. The main emphasis of this class is self defense and personal safety.
