The Carbondale Park District has four advisory committees in addition to the Board of Commissioners that help guide the District staff. 

The committees are as follows: 

• Childcare Advisory Committee
• Golf Advisory Committee
• Administration and Finance Advisory Committee
• Grounds, Facilities and Recreation Advisory Committee. 

Each committee meets for one-hour, monthly to discuss District happenings and to receive guidance/support from the community members serving on the committees.
