Special Features 

The City of Carbondale will receive a grant of $500,000 from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) to make improvements at the Carbondale Superblock! The grant is part of a $22.5 million dollar investment from DCEO for nearly 90 local tourism festivals and attractions across Illinois. The City of Carbondale plans to use the funds for several upgrades, such as adding ADA-accessible paths through the Superblock, improving fields and fences, constructing new restrooms and concession space, and ensuring the bleachers meet ADA compliance requirements.
